Individual Membership

Each individual member has the opportunity to be a part of a section dedicated to his or her interest in medical education. The three sections are for Regulators, Students, and Educators. Any person with a background either as a medical educator or regulator or that is presently a student matriculating in a medical school is eligible to become a member. Individual members are not required to be sponsored by or employed by an institutional member. Those interested in becoming an individual member need simply complete the appropriate membership form, and submit it with their CV. forwarded with a letter indicating a wish to serve the objectives of the Association, and do not have a conflict of interest. An application from a matriculating student will be independently verified with the Medical school's Chief operational officer. The completed package should be sent to the Association's Secretary David Fredrick, PO Box 368, Gardner, MA 01440 and enclose the annual membership fee of $75.00 for Regulators or Medical Educators and $10.00 for students. The Secretary will promptly present the applications to the Board for its decision.

Arrangements will be made for each three separate sections to conduct their own open meetings before the Association's annual meeting. Each section will prepare its own agenda and openly discuss those items of interest to their members. All sections will record the sessions and make the minutes available to anyone who should request them. Each section will annually elect its own Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary. The Section Chair will report to all members at the annual meeting. When ever a clear majority of all members of any section petition the Secretary of the association to add an item to the agenda of the voting members it will be so added. The Association will provide the forum for individuals who have the knowledge, and ideas to improve the medical education. Every sections responsibility is to find improvements in how medicine can be more effectively regulated, taught, and structured.
