The Board has two types of members, permanent and provisional. The Advisory Council has three sections; each is defined within this web site and represents the major bodies of expert educators or regulators. The Chairs of each Section has a permanent seat on the Board. The Site Visitor Panel are medical educators that are prepared to visit medical schools around the globe and determine if they comply with IAOMC’s global standards. The Chair of that panel has a permanent Board seat. The Chair of the Ethics Committee has a permanent Board seat. Each of the five founding schools and Hope Medical Institute invested two years start up capital and agreed to be provisional voters until their school became accredited. SMU and Saba schools were recapitalized; the new investors did not wish their schools to list data base document reports on IAOMC website or participate in the next two years expense. They allowed their membership to lapse. (See: http://www.equinoxcapitalinc.com/news.html.) Neither SGU nor AUC have subscribed to forwarding their site visitor reports for the website and have withdrawn from provisional membership. Ross University had participated in contributing their data base document but discontinued financial participation and have, in effect, withdrawn from provisional membership. There is now one provisional voting Trustee; Hope Medical Institute (University of Lublin and University of Silesia). The founding subscriber members agreed they would be provisional until they were accredited. Thus the University of Lublin and University of Silesia have provisional one vote by their designee, Hope Medical Institute. IAOMC accredited schools are permanent members of the Board as long as they are in good standing and remain accredited.

3. Michael R. Golding, MD, Chair of the Advisory Council Section Two, has a permanent seat on the Board as it’s current Chairman. He is a member of New York State’s Medical Disciplinary Board’s Advisory Council. For his CV click here
   
   
   
    

4. Henry Haddad, MD, is Chairman of Advisory Council Section Three, which has a permanent seat on the Board. He is the former President of the Canadian Medical Association, Vice President of the World Medical Association and Professor Emeritus University of Sherbrooke.

5. Mahendra Patel, President, Chief Operating Officer, Hope Medical Institute, founding member and has a temporary seat on the Board subject to the Universities of Lublin and Silesia becoming accredited by IAOMC. Mr. Patel serves as Treasurer of IAOMC. See above officers.
    

6. JAMES APPLEYARD MA MD FRCP FRCPCH, Is Chairman of IAOMC’s Ethics committee which has a permanent seat on the Board. He is Past President World Medical Association, Former Chief Officer off the British Medical Association and Chair of it’s Ethics Committee, Former Professor of Paediatric and Dean of Clinical Studies at two medical schools.
